Scott Gairdner is a comedy writer, director, and sometimes performer from Woodland Hills, CA. He's the creator and executive producer of Moonbeam City, premiering Sept. 16th at 10:30pm on Comedy Central.
Scott got his start with a popular Youtube channel, launched in 2006. His videos have amassed over 16 million views and his work was featured in the New York Times.
From 2010 to 2012, Scott was a staff writer and director at Funny Or Die, the popular spoof-and-goof website founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. There, he worked with a bizarre array of stars including Larry David, Zach Galifianakis, Mike Myers, Snoop Dogg, Mike Tyson, Ken Jeong, Bar Refaeli, Kate Upton, Adam West, Patrick Warburton, and Wayne Newton. He also developed his name-dropping skills.
In 2012, Scott was hired to write and direct for Conan on TBS. He shot dozens of sketches, including the cold opens for Conan's specially-themed episodes with the casts of "Breaking Bad", "The Walking Dead", and "Sons of Anarchy".
Scott has also created several almost-popular web-series: Clip Cup, a nightmare version of a TV clip show starring Nick Corirossi, and Tiny Fuppets, a cheap Portuguese knockoff of “Muppet Babies”. He's also responsible for "Scott Meets Family Circus", a web comic where he inserts himself into Family Circus cartoons to mock and discredit the kids.
Scott studied film production at Loyola Marymount University. He definitely did graduate, he can show you his diploma and everything.
